I am interning at XY Planning Network and was a Financial Instructor Intern at Wealthy Habits. I am currently a sophomore at The University of Georgia studying accounting and financial planning. Working at GForce was an absolute pleasure and an amazing learning opportunity. Would you recommend for a young adult to intern at GForce? They truly wanted to help the client, and seeing them put people first is the reason why GForce is so successful today! It was super eye-opening to see that they listened more than they spoke. The biggest "AHA" moment during my summer internship was seeing Darrin Michael and Greg Gotlin talk to clients. What, if any, AHA moments, or big learning moments did you have during the summer program? Regardless of whether it is software consulting or accounting, it all starts with people and personal relationships! It all starts with people! They all had a huge impact on me as they showcased what a team member means by patiently training me so quickly. I had the absolute pleasure to work alongside Jacob Hyland, Patrick Clarke, Mellonie Lazarus, MBA, Isabelle Bray, and Steven Klausman. Seward and Jeremy Herrington for being such amazing mentors during my short time at the office. I want to give a special shoutout to Ryan M. I absolutely loved being able to showcase everything Fidelity has to offer and there was always a new opportunity around the corner. This came with the unexpected opportunity for me to step up to the plate and to "throw myself in the deep end". My internship started with both of my supervisors out due to COVID and being short-staffed. I was immediately welcomed by one of the hardest working teams that I had the absolute pleasure to work with and learn from. Although internships are labeled as "temporary", it felt anything but temporary. As the new school year begins, my time at Fidelity Investments has come to an end.
